Below is a YouTube video that provides the history of the DDA40X engine from its beginning to the end of its service. Included in the video′s discussion is that UP DDA40X 6946, in the WPRM collection, was the last DDA40X built.
Toward the end of the video, it includes footage of UP′s presentation to the City of Portola of donated UP DDA40X 6946. In the donation portion of the video, UP President Mike Flannery is shown presenting the 6946 to the City of Portola. The video says the 6946 was the last Centennial delivered to UP by EMD.
