Conflicting information about build date.

One source:
UP 25049:Built in February 1945 by Mt. Vernon Car Co. Caboose is steel center cupola, Model CA-3. Caboose is ex UP 3749. Donated by Union Pacific. Caboose is slated to be re-painted and returned to her original 3749 number and paint

Second source:
Built 6-42 as UP 3749 by Mt. Vernon Car

Renumbered January 1959 to UP 25049;  one of only 2 CA-3's to be rebuilt for pool train service (10-74)

Originally 40' 7 1/4" over coupler pulling faces (longer now due to cushion underframe equipment); interior length 30' 1 3/8"

When delivered to WPRM was in boxcar red paint with white lettering (plan is to return it to this scheme as UP 3749).
