A Railroad Photography Experience

September 29, 2007, 10 AM - 10 PM. (Gates open at 9:30 AM)

Open to the public.

$20.00 per person at the gate.  $10.00 - 12 and under.
Lunch is $5.00.  Dinner is $10.00.

The museum will operate prototypical freight and passenger trains on our track for the benefit of photographers.  This is a great opportunity to view and photograph many of the new items which the museum has acquired over the last few years.  The museum roster currently includes over 40 locomotives and over 100 cabooses, freight and passenger cars.  Click HERE for operation schedule.

There will be a digital photography seminar (cost $10) led by hot, up-and-comers Alex Ramos and Ryan Martin.

A swap meet will be going on inside the building with several dealers selling antique railroad memorabilia.  WP book authors will be available for book signings

.Dinner Menu: Choice of Tri-Tip or Chicken, Calico Beans, Salad. Bread, Corn on the Cob and Dessert

A night photo session will be hosted by Vic Neves. You will need a tripod and cable release to participate in the night photo session.

Additional slide shows will be presented in the evening inside the shop building.

The museum gift shop will be open.

Advance tickets sales have ended.  Tickets may be purchased at the gate during the event, Saturday, September 29.

Portola is about an hour from downtown Reno and Truckee.
